The birth name of Gautama Buddha was Siddhartha Gautama, the son of the King and Queen of the Shakya dynasty. Before the birth of lord Buddha, some Saints predicted that he would evolve into a Greek monk or a prominent ruler. Lord Buddha's father imprisoned him in the Palace for 29 years because his father had a fear of losing him.
After discharge from the Palace, he begins his journey, and in his first journey, he sees three things: a dead body, a sick man, or an old Man. These three visions taught him that life is full of hard work and just an impermanent phase. After encountering the outside world, he gave up his princely life, travelled into the forest, and spent seven years studying the doctrines and practising yogic penances.
Gautam Buddha was a shakyavanshi Chhatriya. Gautama tied the knot with Yashodhara at the age of 16 years. He also had a son from Yashodhara, whose name was Rahul. Later, both sons and mothers became monks of the Buddha.
After the Nirvana of Tathagat, his remains body(bones) were split into eight parts, and eight stupas were built on them in 8 places. The eight main stupas were Vaishali, Kushinagar, Kapila Vastu, Rajagriha, Betdweep, Pavagadh, Ramgram, and Allakalp.
